Ryan Williamson .

Born in 1982 into a South African fishing family created the love and passion that I have today for fishing. Needless to say, that I started fishing at a very young age, which I have my late father John Williamson to thank for. My father started a company called Williamson Lures back in the 70's that manufactured fishing lures. I got to spend many happy days by his side either on the boat or in the factory nurturing my passion for fishing and learning from my father.

I've been fortunate enough to travel to many great fishing destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, USA, Mozambique, Mexico, Cape Verde and the East Coast of Africa. Having fished all facets of fishing whilst travelling my true calling has always been marlin fishing.

I have run both charter boats and commercial fishing boats most of my adult life. For the past four seasons I have fished off Cape Verde Islands for five months of the year from mid-March to mid-August for blue marlin, from there I head to Sodwana Bay for the remainder of the year in the hunt for a variety of billfish, such as blue, black and striped marlin as well as sailfish. My other passion is lure manufacturing, I started my own lure company called Pulsator Lures in 2005, following in my late fathers footsteps.

Not only am I passionate about the ocean and marlin fishing, but there is nothing more rewarding than seeing my clients have a successful fishing trip.
